It would be hard to argue that another organization has had a more significant impact on my development as a Christian, leader, and person than I'm -In. I found so many role models through I'm-In that taught me what it meant to be a servant leader and care for people you're working with; and how to handle logistical issues and responsibilities in a unique environment. These are traits I'm glad to have picked up but without a doubt the most important thing I learned is love. These trips were the first time I had seen (or felt) pure, unconstrained love from God, for God and among his people. I have since used the love displayed in Haiti as an example of how to better love others in my church, fraternity, and on my campus. I will always appreciate the lasting friendships formed through fellowship on these trips.
